It is a good tradition (that we embrace for over 15 years now) to learn drumset playing in a one-on-one situation. Our experienced teachers Franc, Arie and Martin commit gladly to your development, whether you are beginner or advanced. By the use of clear-set goals a teaching program is developed. You can choose for weekly or 2-weekly lessons that will take place at set times.
We also offer studiotime for practice!
Basic Drumset Training
The Basic Drumset Training (BDT) consists of a 6-level drums teaching system developed exclusively within Drummers Initiative Amsterdam.
As you enter as a student, an evaluation takes place during your first lesson so that we can define the BDT level that is best for you.
Afterwards, every six months, a new test takes place in order to see if you should move on to the next level. The BDT testing system allows you to keep track of your progress and to specify the areas that require further study. When you finish BDT level 6, you are an all-round, versatile drummer, with the ability to play in any musical setting.
In keeping with our core values of flexibility and of definition of education programs according to individual needs, you can always skip the BDT evaluation test and start having personalized lessons right away. The important thing for us is to get you behind that drumset.
In principe krijgt elke student de Basic Drumset Training, maar als je geen tests wilt doen, hoeft dat niet. Het plezier in het drummen gaat natuurlijk voor alles!
Advanced Drumset Training
Advanced Drumset Training (ADT) is the next logical step in your drumset education. This is when you define, in close contact with your drum teacher, a highly specific six-month educational program. Whether you want to become an expert drummer in a specific style, further develop your technique or prepare for your conservatorium exam, it is your goals and interests that define the exact blueprint for your classes.
