African percussion

The Djembe percussion program is based on the traditions of West Africa. Having been created by the numu (blacksmiths of Maninka-Sunu origin), the djembes are present in all community occasions of Mali and Guinea, each djembe rhythm fulfilling a purpose in a specific ritual.

The repertoire you learn during the lessons includes the Dundunba, Dansa and Sunu rhythms that you play on beautiful traditional African instruments like the djembe, the dundun, the sabar, the shekere and the gankogui bell.

In addition to the weekly lessons by enthusiastic djembe teachers, regular workshops by African djembe masters coming to Europe ensure the authenticity and expansion of your knowledge in African rhythms.
